ORION CENTER
Everything Under One Roof
The Orion Center, located at 1828 Yale Ave. in downtown Seattle, is a multi-service facility open to youth ages 13 to 21. It offers a safe, open place where youth can access a multitude of services, from meals to case management. The Orion Center’s services include the Drop-In Center with showers, lockers, laundry and meals; Case Management; HIV Case Management; Street Outreach; the Orion Interagency School; the Working Zone pre-employment training program; and the Barista Training and Education Program.
Drop-In Services
Drop-in services are often the first link to YouthCare’s other services. The Drop-in Center offers three meals daily, showers, laundry, and clothing, food and hygiene banks. The Orion Center is a low-barrier facility where any youth in need can come for emergency services.
Case Management
Case Managers support youth with their life changes by providing assessment, referrals and life skills. Case Managers help youth gain housing, enroll in school, obtain medical care and connect with other community services.
Street Outreach
YouthCare’s Street Outreach Team travels by foot or van to provide youth currently living on the streets with food, medical attention, information and connections to community services. Learn more...(link to Street Outreach page)
Orion School
The Orion School is a Seattle Public Interagency School located at YouthCare’s Orion Center. Youth can obtain their high school diploma, GED or simply become re-engaged in school. Upon graduation or completion of their GED, youth often go on to local community colleges and even four year universities. Learn more...
Employment Training
YouthCare offers a pre-employment training program through the YWCA’s Working Zone and offers employment training through the Youth Barista Training Program. Learn more...

CRITERIA TO ATTEND THE ORION CENTER
Youth must be between the ages of 13-21 and in need of services and/or homeless.
