YouthCare is thrilled to announce the addition of two inspiring community leaders to our Board of Directors.  Annie Chae of talentCI LLC, and Tom Neary, of Spaceflight Industries, joined YouthCare’s board in September 2015.

We also bid farewell with deep gratitude to Roy Sorenson, who brought strong financial management skills to YouthCare as our Board Treasurer. We are grateful to his many years of service to our community’s homeless young people, and know that he remains committed to YouthCare’s mission and work. Board member J.D. Kritser, of Steelhead Advisors, will serve as YouthCare’s Treasurer moving forward.

Annie Chae brings expertise in human resources, workforce analytics, and talent acquisition to YouthCare’s board. Prior to founding talentCI LLC in 2014, she has more than 18 years of experience with companies like BearingPoint, Booz Allen Hamilton, and Microsoft. TalentCI provides benchmarking intelligence and expertise in human capital strategy. In addition to her professional expertise, Annie has served on the board of Dwankhozi Hope, an organization that supports and empowers a community school in rural Zambia, as well as been an active volunteer at the N Street Village in Washington, DC.

Tom Neary is the CFO of Spaceflight Industries. Tom has a long history providing management, operational, and financial expertise across industries. Prior to a 13-year career at Microsoft, Tom helped build accounting, financial planning, and treasury operations at Sara Lee and Pansophic Systems. For the past decade, Tom has supported numerous Northwest start-ups, with his last two years as the CFO at Spaceflight Industries, a next-generation space products and services company that is transforming how satellites are built, launched, and operated.

We are grateful to have the deep professional expertise as well as the passion for our mission that both Annie and Tom bring to the board. Each has significant volunteer experience with the organization, and is committed to ensuring that our community’s homeless youth have the resources they need to move beyond survival mode into healthy and thriving young adulthood. Welcome Annie and Tom!
